To respond to significant reforms in military affairs, enhance the competitiveness and collaborative equality between the National Defense Medical University and domestic and international medical schools, strengthen key educational development capabilities such as student recruitment, faculty training, and research talent acquisition, and support military preparedness and combat readiness missions, the Ministry of Education has approved and the Ministry of National Defense has ratified the official renaming. Starting from the 114th academic year (effective August 1), the National Defense Medical Center is officially renamed “National Defense Medical University.”
As the teaching hospital of the National Defense Medical University, our institution shoulders the three major missions of clinical care, education, and research. We will continue to uphold the encouragement of past faculty members and further deepen collaboration between the university and the hospital to create a new milestone in the development of the military health system.
