As Taiwan enters the era of convenient and fast multi-channel electronic payment, Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) officially launched its “Digital Self-Payment Convenience Station” on June 27, 2025, in partnership with Taiwan Cooperative Bank. The inauguration ceremony took place in the outpatient lobby, marking the hospital's adoption of a digital self-service kiosk system, designed to streamline payment procedures and provide the public with a more seamless medical service experience.
The ceremony was presided over by TSGH Superintendent Maj. Gen. Dr. Chen Yuan-Hao, and attended by Vice President of Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Ms. Chang Mei-Jung, and Assistant General Manager Ms. Pan Yun-Hsia, who jointly unveiled the new system. The event symbolized a significant milestone in TSGH’s digital transformation in healthcare, aiming to reduce patient wait times and significantly improve service quality and satisfaction.

Maj. Gen. Dr. Chen emphasized that the hospital upholds a “patient-centered” philosophy, continuously simplifying medical procedures. This collaboration with Taiwan Cooperative Bank brings in a multi-functional, user-friendly, and highly efficient electronic payment platform, making payment processes faster and more considerate for patients.

Vice President Chang of Taiwan Cooperative Bank stated that the bank has long supported social welfare and healthcare development. This initiative with TSGH is not only an act of corporate social responsibility but also demonstrates the bank’s commitment to promoting smart healthcare. Taiwan Cooperative Bank will continue to assist medical institutions nationwide in enhancing payment infrastructure, jointly creating a convenient and efficient medical experience for all.

With the official launch of the Digital Self-Payment Convenience Station, patients can now use mobile payments, electronic stored-value cards, and other cashless methods at the self-service kiosks. This reduces queue times and enhances operational efficiency. TSGH will continue to expand its smart services and integrate industry resources to build a more advanced and accessible healthcare environment for both military personnel and civilians.
