Major General Hong Yi-Ren, Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) Superintendent, was honored with the Taiwan International Medical Model Award. On November 9, 2024, he received the aforesaid award from President Lai Ching-Te at the 77th Medical Professional Day celebration. Superintendent Hong has dedicated himself to clinical service and medical research for many years. He has introduced advanced medical equipment and focused on building a multidisciplinary medical team in TSGH during his tenure leading the one and only military medical center located in Taipei, Taiwan, providing patients with the highest quality, most reliable, and satisfactory healthcare. He has actively promoted team integration, establishing the Department of Critical Care Medicine, the Department of Transplantation Medicine, and the Department of Oncology Medicine in 2024.
