With the core value of 'Wholehearted, Holistic Care”, Tri-Service General Hospital is dedicated to safeguarding the health of both military personnel and civilians. Recently, we were honored with a four-star recognition in the 'Global Hospital Rankings' conducted by Newsweek and analytics company Statista. We are the first hospital in Taiwan to achieve this certification. Additionally, we received a five-star rating in the categories of 'Provision of Care' and 'IT & Healthcare Technology,' demonstrating the high-quality and innovative service capabilities of our military hospital.
To assist patients in finding suitable hospitals for their medical needs and to help healthcare professionals with career references, Newsweek, in collaboration with Statista, has launched the 'Global Hospital Rankings.' Hospitals are evaluated and surveyed based on the data they submit, and are awarded between one to five stars. The evaluation covers five major aspects: ' Provision of Care,' 'Timeliness of Care,' 'Patient Experience and Safety,' 'IT & Healthcare Technology,' and 'Employer Attractiveness,' with each aspect receiving a rating of one to five stars.
Tri-Service General Hospital has been awarded a four-star honor in the 'Global Hospital Rankings' based on comprehensive evaluations. Notably, it received a five-star rating in the categories of ' Provision of Care ' and 'IT & Healthcare Technology.' The evaluation team particularly praised our hospital for its 24/7 emergency services, pharmacy services, implementation of patient safety control systems, extensive use of medical technology, and active promotion of telemedicine.
Dr. Yi-Jen Hung, the Superintendent of our hospital, stated that Tri-Service General Hospital is committed to a patient-centered approach, sparing no effort in healthcare services and patient experience and safety. In recent years, TSGH has actively participated in various domestic and international evaluations and competitions. In addition to receiving the National Innovation Award, the National Healthcare Quality Award – Diamond Award, and the Gold Award, the hospital is also striving towards international medical accreditation. Our goal is to achieve honors that highlight Tri-Service General Hospital's soft power and build an international brand.
Regarding the five-star recognition in the 'IT & Healthcare Technology' category, CPT Lai from the Medical Planning and Management Office, who is in charge of this project, stated that Tri-Service General Hospital is committed to comprehensive smart healthcare. In addition to enhancing digital imaging, the hospital is also focusing on integrating AI into clinical practice. Recently, in alignment with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's policies, the hospital will be promoting telemedicine outpatient services in the second half of the year and moving towards 'home care' initiatives. This aims to bridge the actual distance between the hospital and patients' families, benefiting those who require long-term peritoneal dialysis.
