The 113th International Nurse Day Celebration Ceremony at Tri-Service General Hospital

Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) staffs held the International Nurse Day Celebration Ceremony On May 10th, 2024. In his celebratory remarks Major General Hong Yi-jen, Superintendent of TSGH commended selfless dedication and services of all TSGH nursing staffs and recognized their high level of professional nursing expertise in safeguarding patient health, enabling patients to gradually move towards wellness.

Transmission of candle light activity during the celebration symbolizes our continuous progress on the path of nursing and consistent pursuit of service excellence. The sacred nursing work illuminates our journey of ongoing dedication to professionalism and assisting those in need.
This year, Ms. Chiang Kai-ruo, Acting Director of TSGH Nursing Department, invited guests of honor including former Control Yuan member Zuo-qian, Yi; Professor Wang Gui-yun; Dean Pan Xue-xing of School of Nursing, National Defense Medical Center (NDMC); Ms. Gao Yu-ling, former Director of TSGH Nursing Department; and directors of nursing departments from various TSGH branches to enthusiastically participate in The International Nurse Day celebratory ceremony. During the ceremony, awards were presented to 6 nursing professionals with 40 years of service, 2 with 30 years, and 21 with 25 years, recognizing their seniority and continuous pursuit of excellence in the field of nursing care.

Nursing is an essential part of the healthcare system. In the face of immense work pressure in the medical environment, nursing professionals tirelessly provide comprehensive care services around the clock, regardless of holidays or day and night, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services. May 12th marks International Nurse Day, a significant occasion for every nursing professional. On this special day, we hope that every nurse can stay true to their original intention, and we also look forward to welcoming more newcomers to join us in continuously safeguarding health of military and civilian patients and their families.
